Blueberry mojitos are super simple to make and only require a few simple, fresh ingredients. Thawed frozen berries work really well as a substitute if you cannot find fresh, sweet blueberries.
2 ounces (1/4 cup) white rum
8 blueberries, plus more for serving
1 ounce (2 tablespoons) fresh lime juice
2 teaspoons sugar
8 fresh mint leaves, plus more for serving
1 ounce (2 tablespoons) club soda
Lime slices for serving
1Add the blueberries, lime juice, sugar, and mint leaves to a cocktail shaker.
2Use the end of a wooden spoon or cocktail muddler to bash (or muddle) the mint into the lime juice and sugar. This releases the mint’s oils, breaks up the blueberries, and helps the sugar dissolve into the lime juice.
3Add the rum, stir well, and then pour into a glass filled with ice, leaving about an inch of room.
4Top with the club soda.
5Serve with extra blueberries, mint leaves, and a lime slice.
